The good effects of your daily caffeine fix

Why do you choose to drink a cup of coffee?
Is it the lovely aroma of the coffee beans that you grind in the morning?
Or is it the taste of the particular blend that suits your preferences?
Or perhaps, it is the kick-start that helps you have some zest and enthusiasm for the new day…

Whatever your reason, did you know that there are various news items at the moment about the other, positive side-effects which are helpful to the health of coffee-drinkers?
For instance, an epidemiologist from the German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke, has been quoted recently as confirming that the results of their studies are indicative that coffee may well be rather good for us.
Apparently, she has disclosed that the results of the research indicate that coffee is not harmful as far as the risk of major chronic diseases is concerned (on the basis that the consumer is healthy).
It is said that the research project, the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition Germany study, analysed over 42,000 participants.
The sorts of things that were looked at were the frequency of consumption of different food stuffs (including coffee).
Almost nine years later, it was discovered that those who drank 4 or more cups of coffee daily, were no more likely to suffer a chronic disease, than those who consumed less than a single cup per day.
The sorts of ‘chronic’ diseases are things such as heart disease and cancer, according to reports in the news.
